T-Mobile UK have today revealed that their upcoming Android phone, the G1 Touch, will now be known as the G2 Touch.
The reason for the sudden name change is not currently known, but T-Mobile UK have re-assured customers that the handset is still on schedule for release sometime this month.

The announcement was made from their official twitter account, where T-Mobile also revealed the G2 Touch will be available free to new customers as part of an 18 month contract with their Flext tariff. The Flext tariff will be priced at £40 per month.
The G2 Touch will also be available from Orange as the HTC Hero, and is expected to launch this month also in an exclusive graphite finish.
