The Samsung Galaxy Portal i5700 is the second Android phone to be released in the UK by Samsung. Available exclusively on the T-Mobile UK network, the Samsung Galaxy Portal (also known as the Samsung Spica and Samsung Galaxy Lite) features a 3.2-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen display (320 x 480), and a 3.2 mega-pixel camera (with auto-focus).
Powered by an 800MHz CPU, the Samsung Galaxy Portal will be one of the first Android handsets to include support for DivX playback and will be running the Android 1.5 Cupcake firmware.
Along with playback support for DivX and Xvid videos, the i5700 also includes support for MP3, AAC (including iTunes Plus downloads), WMA audio, and H.264 video formats.

As you'd expect from any other Google Android phone, the Samsung Galaxy Portal i5700 includes the usual bundle of Google mobile applications and services including Google Search, Gmail, YouTube, Google Calendar, and Google Talk. The phone’s GPS enables Google Maps features such as My Location, Google Latitude, and Street View.
The Samsung Galaxy Portal i5700 is available FREE on the T-Mobile UK network with monthly tariffs priced from just £23 per month.
