The HTC Hero (also known as the T-Mobile G2 Touch), is the third handset to be manufactured by HTC that is powered by the Google Android operating system.
Unveiled at a HTC press event in June, the HTC Hero offers some impressive features and statistics when compared to previous handsets such as the HTC G1 and HTC Magic.
Available in a variety of different colours (including a a graphite finish exclusive to the Orange UK network), the HTC Hero includes a 3.2-inch TFT touchscreen LCD display with a 320 x 480 resolution, 5 mega-pixel camera with auto-focus, and a first for HTC Android phones, a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Another first for the HTC Hero is that the handset will include a full screen flash player.
The HTC Hero is the first Android phone to include support for Flash.
The HTC Hero handset itself will also include a Teflon coating finish to help keep the device clean, along with multi-touch and anti-fingerprint protection to keep the phone smudge free.

The HTC Sense UI is a widget based UI, that allows users to position their 'at-a-glace' information directly onto the Android home screen.
According to HTC's John Wang, “HTC Sense is a holistic experience that put people at the center by simply making things work as they should”.
Confusingly the HTC Hero is also known as the G1 Touch, the handset is available in a graphite finish from Orange UK, and in white from T-Mobile UK as the G2 Touch.
