UK mobile phone network O2 have confirmed that they will be launching the upcoming Samsung Galaxy i7500 Android phone on their network at the end of this month.
Revealed in their July issue of the O2 catalogue under the 'coming soon' section, the Samsung handset will be the first Android phone to launch on the O2 UK network.
The Samsung Galaxy includes an impressive list of features such as 3.2 inch AMOLED touchscreen display with 320 x 480 pixels, quad-band GSM and tri-band HSPA connectivity, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headset jack, a 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash, 8GB of internal memory and MicroSD card support.
It is believed the Samsung Galaxy will be available from late July, early August. Current pricing details and tariff information are not yet known, although it is believed the handset will be available free to new customers.
Later this month the Orange UK network will launch the HTC Hero Android phone, with T-Mobile UK also offering the same handset branded as the G1 Touch.
