What appear to be the first ever leaked photos of the upcoming HTC G2 android phone have appeared on the web.
The HTC G2 matches perfectly the codenamed Sapphire 2.0 handset that was uncovered from HTC's 2009 line-up earlier in the month.
Little is know about the technical specifications for this T-Mobile G2 phone, but it is clear from the images that the handset will be touchscreen only with no physical keyboard.
It will also features a trackball and a 3.2 mega-pixel camera.

The HTC G2 is believed to be launching in May of this year.

A series of images apparently detailing HTC's new phone line-up for 2009 has been leaked. Many of the images are of low quality and aside from numerous handset angles also include their HTC prototype names and a rumored successor to the HTC G1.
Included in the 2009 lineup is an Android labelled phone ( the HTC Hero) and a number of possible candidates for the yet-to-be-announced HTC G2.
Along with the Android HTC Hero many industry experts are predicting that the leaked HTC Sapphire 2.0 is infact the handset that will become the HTC G2.

Hopefully we'll learn more about HTC's upcoming phone releases for 2009 along with their Android phone offerings later next month at the Mobile World and GSM 2009 events.
